I sold an item on April 23. It was set as Economy Shipping from outside the US, 11 to 23 business days. This was on .com. Why was the buyer allowed to open an item not received case already?😕

Editing 1000's of listings is not so easy. Also there are losses due to refunds this prompts. It should be fixed quikly or eBay should over the losses.

I leave positive feedback after I ship nowadays so it's not really "extortion" as they should see that I have already left them a positive by the time they see my message. But yeah I'll probably just take out that little bit at the end and just ask them to kindly leave a 5 star positive if everything is ok. My feedback score is still 100% 😎

Too bad we can't give eBay defects for their lack of response to an important problem! Too many defects and we would get a fee reduction!

Cone on eBay...fix this or compensate us!

An update. It looks like ebay has addressed this by changing the expected delivery time to "Estimated delivery time varies."

So now I get to edit all my listings that I had put a 10 day handling time on but am still putting the time at 3 days.

This is like whack-a-mole though, .com got fixed and a .ca economy glitch has popped up. I have that in a different thread and it is under certain circumstances.

I do not have any experience with "Estimated delivery time varies." Does this mean the buyer has not recourse for INR in any timeframe? If so, this seems to have swung the pendulum from one extreme to another. It is still preferred to unrealistic shipping time estimates but does seem like a patch until the issue is debugged.

Estimated time varies means that if seller and buyer are in different countries the buyer has to wait 30 days from purchase before filing an inr claim. If they are in the same county it is 7 days..
