Hello, For my first item posted I accidentally listed an item as an auction. I will list red flags in hindsight. I wanted to take it down but realized that I had a bid. I saw the bid message which asked me to text them (red flag). First, they asked me to confirm my buyer ID to ensure they were talking to the right person. I asked if they could retract it and they said they wanted to buy it for their cousin so they'll put in an extra $50. I said no problems I can add an extra game as well - they then responded they would pay a total of $500 if I help them get vanilla (prepaid) cards. Red flag again. I remembered a common scam where prepaid gift cards are involved. I asked them to move the chat to eBay so I can get confirmation of all of this. They said they would and haven't responded for an hour replying that they will do it now. So lots of lessons learned here. Making sure that I check the item isn't an auction before posting. Not having messages outside of eBay. Being wary of people praying on new baby sellers.

I have a pending sale but ebay will not process it because the buyer is in Alberta Canada and I am in Alabama US. They get a reject message saying seller will not ship to Canada. NOT SO! How do we fix this?

I started to sell on ebay and did not set my bank account up to recieve payments intill I had my first sale. Which when it happend I set up my simplii financial chequing account to get the money. When I did the account would not work. The ebay verification would not work and I havent been able to do anything about it. Does simplii Work with ebay? If anyone could help me that would be amazing

Why is eBay going against their own posted policy?? eBay Canada is charging a Final Value Fee on the Total Amount of the Transaction, including the Taxes paid by buyer. According to eBay themselves, Taxes are NOT TO BE INCLUDED in calculating FINAL VALUE FEE. So then, why are they gouging Canadians and charging us in the Taxes also?? Here is their policy right from their own pages: "If the item or relisted item sells, you're charged a final value fee calculated on the total amount of the sale and are charged per item. In this case, the " total amount of the sale" is the final price of the item, shipping charges, and any other amounts you may charge the buyer. Sales tax is not included." AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE EBAY???????

So i've recently posted some sport cards to sell, and my address and everything is in Canada, my posts says "Fast and reliable. Ships from Canada". Primary service is "Standard Shipping from Canada", but when i look at my posts it says "May not ship to Canada" but directly below it says "Located in: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Whats going on here???

Shipping charges delay. I hate getting ding for late shipping charges. Sometimes I get billed 45 days after I shipped an item. Plus, why cannot FedEX or UPS get their shipping estimates right either. I ship using correct weight, size etc. FedEx gives me an lowball estimate to ship. I stupidity trust their estimate to ship then get a charge for four or five times the amount. Seriously considering not using ANY of eBay shippers.

I haven't used eBay in a long time and I mistakenly put an item on auction last week. When I checked today it said that the auction would run out in 7 minutes. For some reason, it automatically put the item back on auction. I meant to cancel the auction but got there minutes too late. How do I remove it?

For years I have used Vanilla VISA pre-paid cards to purchase items on EBay to avoid using my personal card. Now it wont let me...simple purchase of $25 and the Card has at least $450 (CDN) VISA says ok on theie end....Ebay customer service was no help.

EBay charged my buyer for sales tax and announced to charge me too for PST/HST. IMHO selling and exporting to USA is free from Canadian sales tax. Please clarify

My fault is that I jumped and listed my expensive HIFI gear on Ebay. I don't have a store and not reseling anything. Just my stuff I bought and already payed HST. I cross listed on Canuck Audio Mart also, thinking the more places I list I will sell it faster. Now I realized that if i sell an item for C$3500 i have to pay eBay C$681??? For the same item I got an offer on CAM Borad $3500 via PayPal. My question is can I cancel my account and all my listing without repercusion from eBay?

Ebay's discounted southbound shipping rate was supposed to expire on March 31st, yet it's still active (I'm NOT complaining). Did ebay issue a statement saying that it was extended or now permanent... and I missed it? I'm just concerned that the discount will stop suddenly without notice and I will be caught off guard, as I only use Canada Post when there is a discount in effect... and Chit Chats when there is no discount.

I can choose 4 domestic shipping methods, but only the one I choose as preferred will be shown to buyers searching on eBay. Of all the methods I use, some are cheaper for buyers than others. 1 method chosen is not enough. Please let us enable the ability to show the buyer the cheapest method first. For example, UPS Standard is my preferred method but fedex may be cheaper for one buyer or the other way around. The buyer isnt being shown the cheapest method first for domestic shipping

I've run into some financial troubles recently, and have decided to try and sell some life-sized busts I bought years ago. The only problem is, I have never mailed ANYTHING ever, I don't think I've ever even set foot in a post office. Do I need to go to my local post office, and have it properly weighed, measured, and packaged first (I have their original display boxes) before I list it, and get a rough estimite on shipping fees, or do I do that once the item has (hopefully) sold, and I have an address to send it too. I ask because 1) Again I have no experience mailing or sending anything through the mail, and 2) As you can imagine life sized busts are rather large (76x45x45cm) and a proper shipping box may not be immediatly available at the post office

Been selling for 20+ years on ebay, always send packages with tracking/insurance. Package was sent to a US freight forwarding company (at buyers request, with the address provided on ebay). Used Ebay shipping lables, sent Expidited with extra insurance added to $1000. Tracking has been showing "item out for delivery" for almost one month so I filed a claim with Canada post. Canada Post says they can do nothing because there is no email or phone number associated with this freight forward company. Buyer is international and has no other information on the company. My question: What is the use of adding tracking/insurance if we cannot claim it? Item is showing "NOT delivered" by USPS, so why do I have to have confirmation from the reciever that it was not delivered? IF it was a fraudulent or wrong address, wouldn't USPS have returned it back to me? Thank you for any advice you can offer.

Does anyone know if we can buy extra insurance on either/both of these. I am sure I have for the second one but not recently. And can we purchase it when printing our labels through Paypal? Thanks for the help. Have a more expensive item (around $600) I would like more coverage for.

Are any other Canadian sellers having issues with their listings not giving international customers quotes on shipping? As of yesterday, my US customers wanting items that are over the weight/size limit for tracked package and is requiring to be sent using expedited shipping is showing a message directing the customer to contact me for a shipping quote. Like anything over 2kg???

Hi guys, anyone here living same nightmare with the new policy of not having any customer support for seller. They now only offer offline scripted answers by poorly trained employees oversea. A simple issue of feedback removal can take weeks, tons of emails because you cannot call anymore, and you do call they cannot do anything for you anymore. So every agents are answering differents pre-scripted answers and seems random every time. And if you find one agent who agree with you, most of the time , the commitment of resolving the issue never happens most of the time. This is so frustrating and time consuming. What do you think?

I never had issues sending lettermail into the USA from Canada. This last 2 months I have received numerous requests for refunds!! I havent had to do that in the last 15 years!!! My items are paper thin and only sell for $15-$20. So tracked packet is not an option. If I charge more I put myself right out of the market. I am based in Winnipeg, no chitchats, etc... What do you do? Please help! Im loosing money now!! TYIA

When i look at 1 of my listings it is bombarded with a lot of adds or suggestions potential moving buyers away to other sites. Can I make my listings clean & simple with no add... There is so much it makes the listing way to busy.
