Buyer says ITEM NOT RECEIVED.. What next?

Hi everyone,

Please forgive me if there is a thread for this on the powerseller board but I just got my invitation today!

I started selling March 28/08 and have had 2 buyers say they never received their packages.

I offer a refund or a replacement. One took a refund and the package ended up going to their house weeks later and the buyer was kind enough to send the money back.
The other one asked for a replacement which I sent out this time with a paypal label and delivery confirmation.

Is there ways to get your money back when this happens (through paypal) ?

What do you offer your customers when this happens?

My friend just told me that now he can "buy" anything for free.

no metter item comes or not, he always say" item not received"

If seller doesn't have track, then all money goes to buyer Plus the item.

If seller has the track, buyer just need say, somebody else picked not me. Then let paypal to handle, most time time paypal goes to buyer.

Would work the first few times until Paypal figured it out...then your friend would have a bit of a problem when the police deliver the next package....

There is no way that a light Packet has a Tracking Number

1) it's only a ref. Number

2) There is no bar Code to Scan, so it's impossible to track

3)Small Packet has some Traceable ability "Will only show when item has been scanned at Post Office at time of drop off and it will only show that allways even after it has been delivered, perhaps for internal use Canada Post is able to trace that item.

But for Light packet, it is not scanned and never is.

Unless I'm in the dark about something I don't understand how they can trace small packet either. There is no barcode--nothing to scan. The label is identical to the light packet label with the exception of the O/S & G/F to the right of the declaration.

Small packets are non-trackable, non-traceable and insurance claims are done on an "honour" basis.

Technically (and I am not advocating that you should in any way do this), a claim for a light packet will be paid the same as one for a small packet.
