I contacted the seller to see if wouldn't mind softening the blow of the rather high shipping and he tells me I should contact Global Shipping.
Remember most of the 'shipping' is never seen by the seller.
He may not even have known what you were charged by the GSP.
At best, he could offer to refund you the difference between the actual cost of shipping to Erlanger KY and what he charged.
So if he charged (eg) $2 each for that shipping, and it actually cost him $3, he could reasonably offer to refund a buck.
You could also decide to do a little educating of the seller. He can ship small and inexpensive (under $100 CDN, $120USD) items to Canada by USPS First Class International Parcel which includes Confirmation of Delivery, the selling point of the GSP to nervous US merchants.
