Can ebay purchases be mailed to an address Post Office Box?

My city may in the future do away with home delivery to the street address and there will be mail box addresses, can purchases made on eBay be mailed to P.O. Box #s? addresses..

Yes eBay purchases can be mailed to PO Boxes.

However with the new Community Mail Box system your address will not change.

You will not be given a PO Box Number.

Your address will remain the same but you will pick your mail up from a group mail box assembly nearby rather than having it brought to your door.

The theft rate from community PO boxes is quite high in some areas of BC.

If your address is a 'real' PO Box, you may find that some US sellers will not ship to you.

Many US sellers use couriers like UPS rather than the postal system. There are advantages for them and their American customers, but couriers cannot deliver to PO Boxes.

The postal staff cannot sign for the delivery is why.

Real post office boxes are very secure. If the item won't fit in the box, which is opened by a key, then the owner has to go to the counter to claim the parcel, and usually sign for it.

Community boxes are more questionable.
