Hi there. I am interested in an auction for which my country is not listed among the accepted shipping destinations, NOR among the long list of NOT accepted shipping destinations. I want to ask if the seller can ship to my country. I cannot even ask the question, apparently because my country is not listed among the accepted shipping zones
I think there is a good chance the seller will ship to my country (New Zealand), because it is close to (and similar to) another country in the accepted list (Australia)
So I was wondering if anyone out there who has an Ebay account registered in the US, Europe, Canada, Japan or Australia could do me a favor and go to the auction:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/322071297456?rmvSB=true
...and simply ask if 'New Zealand' can be added to the accepted shipping zone. (The auction is for an old Nikon p60 camera). If the seller replies no, that's fine, it's their right. If they reply yes, then Ebay might let me get on and start asking questions, like what the shipping rate is
Thanks in advance,
Martin

First of all...I don't think you are in the correct community since you are in New Zealand...Aren't you supposed to be on another site?
Of course I can ask the seller for you.
It is a very unusual problem you have, but I am not surprised because eBay has been having many problems lately.
Would it be ok if I include a link to this thread in my message?

Hi, thanks very much for responding and offering to help me out. Someone on Ebay US has already asked for me.
I think anyone else on (a) New Zealand Ebay would have had the same problem asking the question as me. There used to be a New Zealand Ebay, but it closed down years ago (there is a more successful local service called 'Trademe')
Anyway, thanks

So...you don't me to ask for you then?

I have a couple questions for you...
what happens when you click on this link?
http://contact.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?FindAnswers&redirect=0&iid=322071297456&requested=sellquip65.
Does it say the same thing as before? if it does, could you provide a screen shot?
Thanks.

Some sellers have set up their Seller Preferences to Block bidders from countries (or continents) they don't want to ship to. A part of that is the option to Block questions from those countries too.
But if the seller has set up 'Will Ship Worldwide" without country Blocks, he will receive questions even if he has no shipping price for the country.
Or he may have Blocked the country, but left himself open for questions.
For example, I Block Africa, but will ship to Egypt and South Africa.
