I have purchased hundreds of items from the US and never paid duty or insurance . Ebay has been a fantastic resource for collecting with most sellers  understanding that shipping to Canada is not the same as shipping to other countries ITS CHEAPER

This Global program is not good for me the buyer I don't need it or want it.

Any seller that uses this shipping system will not be getting my business in the future . I cant afford to pay $30 shipping prices for a poster or action figure when it only cost $10 from the seller

BTW, the cost of shipping is based on the dimensions and weight of the item, not on its value.  With Canada Post the same paperback book can ship to my home province for $5 but require $12 in postage to ship to Fort McMurray.

The Global Shipping Program has been promoted to American sellers for giving them relatively cheap tracking across borders and oceans and also Blocks some negative feedback comments based on customs and sales taxes at the destination.
