I got a coupon for $15 off my purchase - and proceeded to bid for something I've eyed for a while. The coupon made it affordable for me.
Only after winning the bid and trying to apply the coupon was it rejected because the coupon only applied to select sellers.
This wasn't clearly stated in the email - there was no asterisk stating 'conditions apply', not in the email or the top of the page where the BIG DEAL FRENZY encouraged me to shop. It was only after struggling to close the deal that I went back to the page and scrolled all the way down to find the 'conditions'. This is a form of false advertising. Every other online e-tailer I buy from makes the presence of 'conditions' known in the initial communication. I've got screen caps in case my claim is refuted.
