I recall if I sold something for let's say $19.90, I would be charged approximately $1.90 or so as the FVF.
I just checked in my account summary out of the blue, and noticed an increase in the FVF....sold something for $19.97, FVF charge of $2.21. I barely made any profit since shipping itself cost me $16.03 in PayPal, never mind the packaging and all.
Is this correct?

FVF IS 10% OF SELLING PRICE AS WELL AS 10%OF SHIPPING

I think you don't understand how "Free Shipping ' works.
It's advertising -speak for "shipping price is included in asking price'
Which is cheapest:
$5 item with $10 shipping
$10 item with $5 shipping
$15 item with Free Shipping.
Which would attract the most buyers? Which would get complaints about 'price gouging on shipping?"
If you wanted $19.90 for your item either you use Calculated Shipping to give the customer the cost of shipping to her doorstep $16.03 in this case and she pays $25.93 OR you make the asking price $25.93 (more likey $25.99) and she pays $25.99.
Bonus. When you offer Free Domestic Shipping, you are not charged FVF on international shipping either. And you get an automatic Five Star Rating for Shipping Cost.
