Even More Non-Paying Winners with the New Feedback System

Am I the only who has noticed the sudden increase in the already high volume of non-paying winners, now that ebay has started with the new, more feedback system for buyers? This is getting absurd. I actually got an email from a guy saying "you can relist the ipod since I found another one." I suggested it would be a good idea to reread ebay's policy on non-payment. I've no doubt I will get negative feedback for expecting payment.

I have also experienced an increase in NPB and slow payers in the last 2 - 3 weeks. As one poster said, it does appear to be an influx of stupid people. After talking to one of them on the phone yesterday, I couldn't get the image of Rachel Dratch's SNL Appalachian character (drooling, inbred creature with an arm growing out of her skull, dressed in a potato sack) out of my head.

I can't really see how these special Ebayers are the result of the new feedback system. These NPB's exist because they can.

well if you want to talk slow, that's a whole other category, less than a quarter pay right away, the others take their sweet time-i hate it!!! and the only reason i hate it is that every day that goes by, you don't know whether they will be a non paying buyer or not...of course, if they actually communicate with you that they'll be paying on a certain date, that's a whole other story...

Yup like Jakeangels comments - there are alot of {SPECAIL} buyers out there lately. UPI's have increased 15% over the last 60days.

Also, alot of users complaining about shipping prices and or sending ridiculous offers - like $200 for a P4 Laptop (including shipping).

But hey, its all part of selling on eBaY, every day brings we challenges and also new opportunities so you have to take the good with the BAD!

Fustrating and somedays downright annoying.

Cheers

I just had a guy tell me that I had better remove the NPB or he would put in the neg feedback he had threatened me with, and then change his id..."like what are you stupid, or something." Ebay's response is always to give us the basic info when we go through procedure but, the reality is that enough NPB's and/or neg feedback and a buyer can't buy. Seller's can find out the number of changes of id as well. Last night, I cancelled a bidder 10 minutes before bidding ended...she had a 60! Two sellers had made it clear she was a non-payer, who did not respond to emails...that was enough for me.

In regard to asking for deals, they are related topics...I cannot believe the number of people asking for ridiculous stuff like $50 for a new ipod, in exchange for good feedback of course . I think people just don't understand sellers got here through hard, labour-intensive work just like any store they would walk into in the local mall. They can't get their head around it.

Did he respond to the NPB? If not ebay will remove the FB he leaves automatically.

Now, that I did not know. Heh...some good news as a seller. Given that I had to direct him to ebay's information and I am pretty certain he did not read it, this may come as a surprise to him as well. He has a few days before his time to respond to the NPB is up...he has made it clear he will not respond, just change his id after the neg feedback is left...should be interesting :-).

As long as he doesn't respond to the NPB through ebay's system the FB will be removed regardless of whether it is a neg, neut or pos.

Unfortunately, Judy, many sellers do not leave negative feedback for NPB's because they are concerned about retaliatory negs. Makes a further mockery of the system.
That is the best answer for all questions about feedback system!!!:-)
The question here was about the new feedback system having more non-paying bidders.
May be. But it is not difference with me!

I don't leave neg's for NPB because I don't have time to manually manage me FB and really it's just a waste of time. I, for one, don't have time to prescreen all my bidders to see if they have negs for non-payment prior to their purchase. I am not concerned about retaliatory negs at all because they can't be left if the NPB doesn't respond.

Having said that, I ALWAYS file for my FVF's back so the NPB will get a strike. Three strikes they are out. As far as I'm concerned that is the best way to protect other sellers.

Well, that's how it's supposed to work.
Nowadays, it seems to be:
File for FVC,
Get fees back,
Buyer has strike reversed.

My point is that a strike is more effective that a neg as most seller's don't have time to look at each bidder's FB.

But welcome on eBay to open new account!!!

Actually, no. You are not allowed to open a new account when you are NARU. And if you believe they can just open a new account what is the point in negging them?

on that note, if you go to community and enter numbers 1 to 10 individually, its quite interesting that each and every number belongs to someone in germany for the same amount of time, with mostly the same amount of transactions/negetives. kind of freaky

Hi sunshine...i've just learned that lots of people are s-l-o-w...but eventually, they pay...we just have to be more patient...that's all. i had lots of items end last night, i wasn't home all night, i got home, with emails all over the place asking to send them invoices...and then some who decide to pay with a shipping amount THEY FEEL IS GOOD-of course, way lower than the actual.
sometimes when you wait, they do nothing,....when you don't wait, they're right there bugging you.

I had yet another person respond to an UID with what is becoming the all too familiar excuse "I was out of town". At least he paid as soon as the dispute was filed!

By my small experience, I easy figure out that you are right, it is not the point to give negative feedback if the buyers have feedback between 0-9!:-)
Last: If you use "Yahoo" or "Google" website you can find how are you can easy open new eBay account!
