FVF on shipping for listings on eBay.com

I list my items on eBay.ca and for many light weight items such as brochures, pamphlets, postcards I provide FREE SHIPPING to Canadian buyers and charge flat rate to USA and WORLD buyers.

Because the number of Canadian buyers is significantly lower than others I can tolerate the FREE SHIPPING in Canada while saving the FVF on shipping costs to “out of country” destinations.

Due to some kind of promotion few months ago, I listed some items on eBay.com and have marked $0.00 SHIPPING COST to Canada.

And everything worked well until I noticed that I was charged the FVF on shipping in spite of free shipping to Canadian addresses.

Seems that eBay.com counts FREE DOMESTIC SHIPPING only when we ship free to USA.

Can you recommend something  about this disadvantage?

Thank you very much!

It has always worked that way.

On eBay.ca - Canada is domestic destination.  With "free shipping" to Canadian buyers, you avoid having to pay FVF on the shipping charge

On eBay.com - USA is domestic destination (regardless of item or your location).  To avoid FVF on shipping charge you must offer "free shipping" as the first shipping option to US addresses.  I am not aware of any way around the system.

Good Luck.
