First time seller dealing with potential fraudster

So I posted a gift that I was trying to sell this yesterday. Within 5 hours I had someone buy it out right.

The address to which was tied to their email account was in the Connecticut US, they sent me an email requesting shipping cost etc. which I responded too.

An hour or two later eBay canceled the sale for account issues on the buyers end.

After this I received the email from Ebay I received another email form the seller saying his daughter had logged into the account abroad to confirm they liked the item and it was for and the sale was blocked due to Ebay's over caution . They buyer requested that I ship the item to a different address in Nigeria. Shortly after this email one for ebay and paypal arrived saying the buyer had sent money and I have received emails requesting me to ship the package via Canada Post. No messages from Ebay or Paypal were in my account message centers only in my personal emails.

I refused to send the package citing ebay canceling the sale and subsequently I have received harassing emails from the buyer saying that they have sent money and I MUST send the item. There

My question is what can I do from here. I assume that my naive instincts were correct but is there anything I can do about the buyer emailing me? Is there a risk to my account reputation or accounts going forward?

Thanks

Ignore and block, report emails to EBay or PayPal, this is a  just a common scam, Nigeria is your main red flag, your account is OK.

Stopped reading at Nigeria.

It's a fraud.

Do not continue to communicate with the scammer.

Block the ID (it may already be Not A Registered User -NARU).

Send the probably fake Paypal email to spoof@paypal. com.

Look in your Paypal account to see if any money has actually been deposited there. It won't be.

Block the harrasser's emails on your personal email account. Report him to his email provider for harrassment. (Since he is probably working out of an internet cafe in Lagos, this is not likely to be successful, but do it anyway on general principles.)

You can set your Seller Preferences to automatically Block bids from various countries. Even more useful is Blocking bidders with Strikes for Unpaid Items and bidders who do not have active Paypal accounts.
