There are new common practice from dishonest seller/ scammed sellers on E Bay.
To protect yourself :
Please check and register your cards ASAP before giving any feedbacks.
Once I purchased giftcards with this seller . I checked the balance and it is O.K, but later when I recheck I found out that my giftcards was either inactive or invalid. Of course, I l left positve feedback after my first check balance.
Checking the giftcard balance alone will not prevent loss if dishoness seller cancel transaction/do charge back (since some giftcard company allow people to purchase giftcards with creditcard so they can cancel or report lost and stolen to get refund /deactivate the card by reporting loss since he/she has the receipt with the giftcards No.
For some giftcards that do not have registration funtion, you may want to use or buy things (even you do not need to) with the card you received until $0.00 left then go and return or get refund later. That way you will get a new giftcard that is yours.
Some sellers even send you giftcards with unscratch pin strip. Make sure you check the balance./register. Chances are the cards are not activated and have no real $ on it.
