Has anybody out there any problems with the refresher button not working on the summary page?

I can't seem to get the CS to understand what I mean, when I contacted them.  It's a tech. problem on my summary page.  The refresher (2 green arrows in the tool bar) does not refresh, to update the current status of my listings.  Also, I have a hard time actually listing.  The typing is delayed and I can only type capital letters after many tries.  I find it frustrating, to try to explain, when the CS just keeps repeating what I just said.  I constanly clean cookies and browser, which has no effect.  I saw on ebay home page, there is a "torn paper"  icon next to the refresher button, to click on in the tool bar, to update some issues, however, I do not have this icon, does anyone else?.  I looked at all the international ebay sits, and sure enough, that icon is there.  Hope this all makes sense, and somebody out there can suggest something, thanks.

I haven't had this particular problem, but my own Summary page has been a real mess in other ways in the past 2 or 3 weeks.  Things were disappearing and re-appearing, my Dashboard buttons and the links weren't working properly, and a lot of data was missing (in fact I lost all my seller account information for several days).

From what I understand from the brief information I got at the Wed. open discussions with eBay.ca staff, there has been some "upgrading" or "updating" going on in the background at eBay, and things will eventually correct themselves.  I don't know if it's much comfort, but that's what I was told.  I think all the massive monkeying around that has been done with the site in the past few months has caused glitches all over the place.  It's unfortunate, because it seems to me they've managed to break something that worked fairly well before.

Thanks for that.  I know what you mean.  The constant changes has made a real mess, of what seemed to be  working.  Maybe ebay has had its day.  I've been at this for more than 10 years, and have had fun doing it.  It's hard to keep going, when it isn't fun any more.  It would be nice to know, what ebays end goal is, with all the changes.  As it is, I think a lot of veteran ebayers are bowing out.  I'll see what shakes in the next little while, then decide if I too will call it quits.  Cheers.

Well, I refuse to give up yet ... although there are days, I must admit...

The problem is that I wish they'd just give us sellers a breather for a while.  Honestly, I'm not 25 years old and a novelty-junkie, I need a little time to absorb and adapt to each change.  It used to be we could roll along until the major updates occurred in the spring, but changes -- and not just minor 'tweaking' -- seem to be coming from everywhere at any time, often without any advance notice.  This has become a hard place to keep up with.

I sometimes wonder about those people who publish books on eBay (eBay for Dummies, etc.) -- they must be hopelessly out of date before they even hit the bookstores!

You know, you make a good point about eBay's ultimate goal being obscure.  I've yet to see or hear any over-arching statement from eBay of the reason behind so many (and so many drastic and fundamental) changes.  I can only hope there is some method in their madness.
