I Confess giving feedback first seems to be ok. How to do it automatically?

Elsewhere I voiced some concerns about giving feedback first (as a seller) and eventually I was convinced to give it a try. For sure it hasn't hurt, based on what I am seeing it has helped, although there are still buyer pains in the bum, but it appears as though me giving feedback first has made them less a pain, ie they feel more compelled to work with me. It also appears to have increased the number of feedbacks I get and their enthusiasm for the parts I can see at least.

So far I still list all my stuff with turbolister 2. I believe Seller Manager lets you give automagic feedback, I'm planning to stick with TL2 if I can. Is there any other way to do it automagically?

No but you can leave it in bulk. You can enter several feedback lines and click on all your customers that have paid you and select "randomly apply my comments to all selected".

To get it done automatically you need to upgrade from selling manager (though I'm not sure what the next upgrade is...selling manager pro or something like that).

Speaking of which selling manager is now free for all users. So I would like to see if the store owners will get offered a free upgrade.

Selling Manager isn't free yet - I think that's June 1.

And, supposedly, they're going to add some bells and whistles to it at that point. -------------------------------------------------------------------

I have always left feedback first for my buyers. eBay has really left us no other choice now anyway, so I look at this way- As a seller, I am rewarding them for their timely payment, and showing them professionalism as a quality seller who intends to follow through with quality service. It breaks the ice in the transaction and makes the buyer feel more confident in their purchase, and prompts them to leave you good feedback in return.
I still leave the feedback manually after shipping, and at the same time I send them a personal email (it's a copy and paste that I modify just slightly for each item) which advises them that their item has been shipped, when to expect it, tracking numbers if applicable, thank them very much for their business, and sign it including my website address. 15 minutes a day well spent. 😉

Very well said...even though I got my very first neg in 4 years of selling this week, I have to agree wholeheartedly. I've had more feedback and better feedback since I started leaving it first. Buyers are also a lot more trusting if their shipments are delayed or if there are problems to smooth out. No matter which you choose to do though there will still be buyers who are irresponsible with feedback and with the new sytem I don't think leaving it only after it's left for you will change anything.

Yeah, sorry to hear about that first negative- The rest of your feedback is stellar, though, and that is what responsible, decent buyers will judge you on. 😉
