Spelling may be the problem.
If you are really unsure you could make it an auction but start it at a price you would be comfortable receiving if only one person bids.
However, if you suspect the item may be valuable (and remember 'rare' is not a synonym for 'valuable') don't make it the first item you have ever listed on eBay.
Too many honest buyers will not bid because newbies make so many many mistakes in descriptions. And some bottomfeeders are ruthless with newbies.
Is there a sportscard store in your area? Phone them, make an appointment and ask if they can appraise it 'for insurance'. This politely tells them that it is not for sale. Insurance value is replacement value and NOT what you would get selling it to a dealer or on eBay.
