Hi joannh4108

There is such a thing "a slow boat to China" but here is the bad news, you have ONLY 45 days from time of payment to file a claim with PP (PayPal).

"IF" and ONLY "IF" you funded the payment with a CC (Credit Card) then contact the number on the back of the CC and try do a chargeback, they too have a timeframe to file.

Contact the seller and see if they will do anything, 9.999 out of 10 sellers will not.

No it is not normal. Air Mail from overseas sellers runs from around a week from Europe to 30 days from Asia.

It is never wise to allow the seller to cheap out and use Surface shipping.

That is so slow that you will be well past the Dispute deadline by the time it arrives. If it ever does.

While most Chinese sellers are honest, there are a lot of scammers who will string you along until the Dispute period passes.

But as you have been told if the 45 day (to the second) deadline has passed, you may still be able to do a chargeback if the payment was taken from a credit card attached to the PP account.

The seller never sees any of your financial information if you use PP. It is very secure, but they do have rules.

7 weeks is 42 days. Has it been more than 45 days since you paid for the item? If not, open the item not received dispute;if it has,go for the chargeback option if you used your credit card to fund the transaction.
