I'm having a problem with a seller

I bought two items from a seller on ebay and received them. The problem is that I ordered two "custom" size cosplays because they were meant to be a birthday gift for my siblings, they sent me one that was done properly and the other was a  standard Medium size and doesn't fit my brother and is too big for my sister.

It hasn't digressed to anything bad yet but we were in contact for a bit about it and then they asked me for the detailed size which I sent to them but then they  stopped talking to me.  I sent them a message asking if I could have feedback on the order and they  gave me the tracking number for the item that they sent me that was the wrong size.

I am willing to send back  the cosplay myself in order to receive a new one because it isn't fair to them that only one of my siblings hast he costume but I think that its nearing the 14 limit that the seller put on their site and it doesn't seem  like its going anywhere. I either want them to send me a new one and I mail back  the one I got or I want a full refund for the item because I'm  not keeping something that is not what I paid for.

I did  specifically give the measurements for both cosplays, its only the second one that has a problem

If you paid by Paypal they take returns and make refunds. The real deadline is 45 days from purchase.

Go here:

http://resolutioncenter.ebay.ca/

And open an Item Not As Described dispute.

They will tell you to contact the seller: you have already done that.

You will be required to return the item to the seller with Confirmation of Delivery.

If the seller is in China, and a lot of the lower priced custom tailoring is, this will be VERY expensive. Don't let that stop you from opening the dispute, even if you don't complete it.

(My idea of expensive and yours may differ. Check postage costs at canadapost.ca and look at the Business not the Personal pricing. There are more choices.)

If more than 45 days have passed, PP may not be helpful. In that case go to the credit card you actually used to pay (PP is a mediator) phone the 1-800 number and ask about a chargeback. Again they may require that you return the costume-- or not.

You also have a couple of other tools.

You have up to 60 days to leave feedback. The most effective feedback is calm and factual. "Gave custom measurements. Rec'd standard size. Not helpful". for example.

At the same time you are asked to leave Detailed Seller Ratings. A normal pleasant transaction should get Five Stars. The lowest Rating is ONE Star. (No stars is a free pass). If a seller's DSRs drop below 4.3, his ability to list and sell on eBay are greatly restricted.

And interestingly, you have two transactions to leave feedback and DSRs for. I'm sure you will be fair. Woman Wink

Because of the high cost of return shipping to Asia, you may want to list and sell the cosplay on eBay. Or you may prefer to use CL or KJJ.  If you belong to a cosplay group, or if you can find one on Meetup (for example), you may find a buyer there.

Fortunately, we are going into Con season, and there are many anime and SF cons coming up over the summer.

I hope you find a costume for your brother in time for the Con you wanted to attend.
