Im just curious as to why we are charged a final value fee on shipping for our items being sold since this money is not ours to keep?

I would just like to know the reason behind this fee for shipping since we are not actually keeping shipping charges to ourselves. Just a little confused with this fee. The final sale fee makes complete sense, just not on the shipping charge.

In my opinion, it's because of those sellers that like to list things at $0.01, yet have shipping set at $60. It was a way to get around paying fees on the final cost.

In all seriousness, I'm not sure why ebay has added fees on shipping costs, but they have discounted FVFs to offset the added cost.
