I was watching an item(Buy it Now) w/ $10 import fee, I was trying to
decide if I wanted or needed it. Whit in 2 hours, the import fee increased to $24.
I've been a member since 2001 w/ 100% positive feedback.
As of now, ebay can kiss my A$$.

The import fees (the fee the buyer pays when she imports an item into Canada) is made up of applicable Canadian duty, applicable Canadian sales taxes and a smallish ($5 or so) service fee to Pitney Bowes for handling the paperwork and shipping from their plant in Kentucky to a Canadian doorstep.
Both duty and tax will vary depending on the value of the item. If the item's auction bids increased while you were considering purchase, then the import fees would also rise.
