due to large size and weight of the book, it costed more than standard?!

I wouldn't risk it if I were you. You have no feedback as a seller yet...you don't want your first one to be a bad one! It's up to the seller to know postage costs BEFORE the items is listed. We all have made the same mistake!

NO. Accept that we all make rookie mistakes. (And I did it too  last night, after over 5,000 sales on various IDs. I'm a slow learner.)

 

If you weigh and measure the book beforehand, in metric,  and used Calculated Shipping, this will not be a problem in future. Your customer will see the shipping cost to his doorstep, based on your dimensions, the service you chose, and his postal code.

 

Is the buyer in a location that you did not give a shipping price for? In those cases, you can charge the appropriate shipping and eBay will back you.

 

BTW, when you set up shipping, do add a small handling cost for packaging. Bubblewrap ain't free.
