The bidder says he is sorry, but he can't complete the sale. What is the simplest and fastest way to solve this situation? If I cancel the transaction, it looks like it is going to negatively affect me and this is not my fault. I don't want to spend a lot of waiting time going to the Resolution Centre, where I have to wait four days before starting anything. I just want to re-list the item or do a Second Chance offer. What do people recommend in those situations?

Hi manon.. File a cancel transaction but advise your buyer that ebay will ask them to accept. If they deny fees are not credited.

Only other mechanism is the unpaid process

If the buyer denies the cancellation, you will not get your credit and they're account will not be negatively affected even though they'd be a non payer.
Hopefull your buyer will accept the cancellation.

Thank you for your advice. I made a cancellation request, spoke to the buyer who said he would accept it. It has now been four days and he claims that he gets an error message when he clicks on it, because the case is not available. I asked him to contact eBay to clear it up, but now he is just ignoring my e-mails. At this point, I will have to wait until the week is over and then have the transaction closed by eBay and ask for the refund. It is a bit infuriating since this is the week I could sell the item pre-Christmas. By the time it's available again, there is no way a buyer will receive it before the holidays. Should I be wary of buyers who get feedback from sellers, but never leave any? And should I be careful of buyers who have low feedback scores? This one had a feedback score of only 3.
