I thought I read some where that it was the average of their DSR's left for a combined purchase that was counted.
I may be wrong.
That I don't know about... but think about this. If 20 "HAPPY" and hence leaving five star ratings people bought 10-15 items apiece yet only left "1" DSR for the ENTIRE order, it would be 20 DSR at 5 star, not the whole 200 or so. Then you have another let's say 5 "UNHAPPY" customers come along that only bought 1 item, yet have no problem blasting you with just one star.
Now your DSR ranking plummets as 5/25 ratings received only 1 star when yet, "truthfully" only really 5 out of maybe 200 or so items received that ranking!!
I thought that was what positive, neutral, and hence negative feedback was for? I feel sorry for those out there who have maybe 20 Negatives and 2000+ Positive transactions. That would still be a 99.9% feedback rating, and absolutely fantastic even by Ebay's standards! Yet only the negative people leave DSR's, and most of the positive don't or it was before the DSR's came into effect and now their 5-Star average is only 4.4 - 4.6 for whatever category. These ellers lose their PowerSeller status and hence Ebay doesn't have to give them their PowerSeller discount anymore.....
Hmmm... wait a minute! Can anyone else say that this is just a way to slither out of offering those PowerSeller discounts! I think so!! We'll raise our fees by 2% but let you stay at what you were before (with a 2% rebate) if you keep up a certain level of DSR's which are 5X less accurate and more bogus than the original feedback system!! WOW! Can you smell Ebay's stench from here? What a crock and hence why i believe this is the most bogus and most utmost thing that needs to be changed!!!!
