Never received item case, eBay decides in sellers favour??

So in October of 2014 I ordered some goods off eBay Canada, which I have never received. Because the package was coming from India, the seller kept me updated with tracking info copied and pasted via email well past Paypal's 45 day dispute window. Literally the 46th day the seller halted correspondence with me. I knew I had been scammed!
Finally I discovered a way I could possibly get a refund by formally requesting one. So I opened up return cases for all 3 items, thinking this will be a no-brainer. HOWEVER! eBay just informed me that they decided in the sellers favour because evidently I have not paid for the items.
I paid for these items and I can prove it by going back into my Paypal history. I plan on appealing this case but I wanted to hear what others thought? This just seems ridiculous to me. Am being scammed by eBay now???

Call you credit card issuer (toll free number on your monthly statement) and file a chargeback for the payment - assuming you paid with a credit card through PayPal.

I am not sure why you waited until now (January 16) to file a claim considering you paid three months ago (October).

If you did not use a credit card for your payment, you are unfortunately out of options.

Whether the seller likes it or not, if you are buying internationally you should be opening an Item Not Received dispute somewhere between Day 30 and Day 42 after purchase.

It's your money you are protecting. Too many overseas sellers use the excuse that shipping from their country takes a long time. Well, that's why Air Mail was invented.

At any rate, you waited past the 45 day deadline, and neither eBay nor Paypal will do anything at this point.

If either you or the seller left feedback, you can leave a Response indefinitely. (You only had 60 days to leave feedback.) Like the most effective FB, the most effective Responses are calm and factual. 'Paid 15/10/14. Not Rec'd 16/1/15. No refund.' for example.

Have you checked your credit card and Paypal accounts to see if your payment by some miracle was returned? The amount may not be exact because of fluctuating foreign exchange.

Your credit card's chargeback service is your best bet, however. Act promptly. Cards have deadlines too.
