I bought an item 4 months ago but i haven't received it. I must say that in the meantime I tried to contact the seller but at first he asked me to wait one more week and after that he never responded to any of my messages. What can I do now? Do I have a chance to get my money back?

Never received the item I bought. I tried to contact the seller but no answer. What can I do?

Both Paypal and eBay cover buyers against Item Not Received for up to 45 days after purchase.

Which has passed.

So no help there.

You can leave feedback and Detailed Seller Ratings giving your appropriate opinion on the transaction for up to 60 days.

Which has passed.

So no help there.

If you back your PP account with a credit card, the cc company may allow a chargeback.

Although even those are usually restricted to 90 days.

Still, if you don't ask they can't say "yes". Call the 1-800 number on the back of the credit card and give the clerk the dates, values and transaction numbers.

Good luck.

Hello 'raluk',

After this much time I am sorry to have to say you have lost your money.  I hope it was not very much.  If you used a credit card - on a pp account or just straight credit card payment - you can try for a chargeback.  This service is offered by your card company and hence time limits vary with each card.

For future reference have a look at the following link about what to do if there is a problem, - either the items does not arrive or is not what was featured in the listing:

http://pages.ebay.ca/help/buy/item-not-received.html

It's really important to know the dates and limits, -- if something doesn't show up, file no later than day 43 (the 6 week point) to be safe.  You have just 60 days in which to leave feedback.  Never accept promises and sweet-talk from a seller in lieu of a refund.  And never close a claim once it is opened, - because once you do that you cannot reopen it.

Best wishes for a conscientious ebay future. 🙂
