I just noticed this free Promo in my eBay Promotional Offers.

I assume again the Sell Similar will defeat the No Relists to list existing listings.
I do not see the any of the usual ebay.ca typos in this promo, lol. But here is a link to the ebay.com USA promotion in case there are errors in the ebay.ca promo.

PS Good promo for non-store sellers with the new non-store 20+20 free listings limits. First useful promo of the new fee structure. Hopefully many more to come.

Given that I have a store subscription, I didn't get this one. I haven't done any griping about the new fee structure but I for one will be very disappointed if promotions like this one end for me. Being given 100 'free' auctions in the Collectibles category is essentially pointless unless I feel like giving things away for free. No one bids on anything unless the starting price is ten cents. And even then, a bid is not guaranteed unless I'm offering 'free' shipping which is a minimum of $10 lost. As we all know, a selling price of a dime doesn't cover even a final value fee on shipping, never mind the actual cost of the item to me.
Adding insult to injury, my sales have sharply plummeted within the past 30 days. Like, think hurtling-from-outer-space plummeted. I seem to remember this happened at exactly this time last year too. Not coincidentally, if I search for what I sell on Google, I am given only Amazon sellers as an option. Ebay listings don't surface until the second page of google results. Isn't that interesting?
And why was there no Board Hour yesterday? I had issues to raise and, for once, I actually had time to participate. (Because there are no orders to fill.) Soon, I will have to start eating my stock. Crunchy, crunchy diecast cars and cardboard boxes.

That's an even bigger kick in the pants.

I did not get invited. So what? A seller cannot expect to get "free listings" every week or every month. This is not an entitlement (like a Senate seat!)
It is a business where we pay to list our "stuff" for sale on this platform. And we pay again if we sell the "stuff" The business plan must include the fact fees will be paid for the privilege. To depend on "freebies" exclusively cannot lead to success.
Looking at the big picture, listing fees are a very small contribution today compared to what it was ten or fifteen years ago. Today, most of the fees are paid to eBay if a sale takes place.
Personally, I wish eBay would simply stop offering so many promotions on a regular basis.

In one respect, I agree with you. 'Free' listings contributes to the sea of garbage on ebay. My problem is that I need a store subscription for about 750 listings. The gap between the middle and top tier is too large. My fit into it is not comfortable. For me, 500 listings is inadequate whereas the next step is much too drastic. I cannot commit to paying a Store Subscription of $200 per month for, what is it? 1500 listings?

You can get your 750 listings by the middle tier store. 500 on dot com and than your 250 on dot ca. I think the promos are great, the more the merrier. I don't see how more free listings is a problem. Most buyer do not just browse they do searches for specific items. So what if there are a lot of listings to look at. You an always sort that information in many ways. Competition is good. I believe there should be no listing fees........only FVF.

The board is open all day today if you still want to ask your question. Raphael is away and said he will try to answer questions later on.

Anchor store is only good if you list more than 1.800 items. I wish Ebay introduces some kind of Ultimate Store, with 10.000 listings allowed 😉

No way! Whenever ebay has a free promo there are so many incredibly rare, high quality items that have never been listed before. It is so difficult to choose what to buy, there are just so many choices. No junk at all!

He, he ......
I don't like the promos, neither, even if I finally decided to send 1600 "new" items to my store today...

Been awhile since there has been an accurate count around, but when sites were tracking listings, the notion that there was a huge increase during promos never happened since the days when store listings were separate and there were only `10+ million auctions at a time on .com. Back then you could see a significant % jump in listings during free/.05/.10 listing days.. Once stores went into core, listing cost became trivial and they added piles of huge sellers the increase was hardly noticeable .

Why not? I think eBay should just retire the insertion fees and let us post our items for FREE. eBay just don't get it. I am sure that if we are able to list our items for free at any time, we would be able to sell a lot than usual and at the same time eBay would get the final value fees going to their huge deep pockets.

I agree, should be no insertion fees.

Got it this time:)

Sadly, I did not get this one and I could have really used it this time around.
Figures!
