Refund for Damaged Goods

How do I get a refund for the Global Shipping cost when teapot arrives damaged due to mishandling?  The seller only refunded their sales price & domestic shipping (which was only 2/3 of the total paid).

Oh dear.

Both you and the seller were mistaken on that.

You SHOULD have started with a Dispute which would have prompted a full refund from Pitney Bowes who handled the shipping to Canada.

Your seller was actually free of all responsibility once he delivered the teapot to Pitney Bowes.

sigh.

Open a Dispute. Explain the situation.

If you get a full refund from PB (and stranger things have happened) then refund the seller's refund.

The end result should be that you get paid no more than the amount you spent. Your seller gets paid for the item and for the shipping to the PB plant in Kentucky. You are both 'made whole".

And PB is stuck with the costs from sloppy repackaging and shipping a badly packed item that became damaged.
