Hello.  Early in the evening last night my husband caved in and got me to purchase a $1400.00 guitar from a seller with a music shop down in Nevada.  Their shipping was very high but their listing stated that shipping would be less to Canada.  I messaged them before purchasing to find out what the shipping would  be for us and then shortly thereafter purchased the guitar even though we hadn't heard from them.  There was a  listing  for a very similar guitar which was soon to be over and my husband thought that some one might  buy the one he was looking at.  That's why the quick purchase.  Their  store is open seven days a week, I checked their website but we have yet to hear from them.  How long should I wait before  worrying?  I have messaged them once last night and once this morning and nothing.  Thanks.

If I didn't hear from them by tomorrow afternoon I would get their phone number from ebay and give them a call.

I can't see this purchase on your history so can't check to see what the listing says but even if their store is open 7 days, that doesn't mean that whoever handles the online business works on the weekends. I might phone them, but probably not until closer to the end of the business day on Monday.

When you said their shipping was high but they said it would be cheaper to Canada....was the high shipping for the U.S.? It seems odd that shipping to Canada would cost less.

This may have something to do with the badly explained Global Shipping Program.

Nonetheless, it's the weekend.

Don't panic.

Phone on Monday. Don't forget about time zones. Don't fuss about long distance charges, they will be less than the postage you save.

You are covered by both the eBay and Paypal Buyer Protection programs and if you back your PP account with a credit card, a very sensible thing to do, you have yet another level of protection.

Come back on Monday evening and let us know how it went.

I had posted my comment some time ago and because this forum was down for a number of days I was unable to send some follow up on the situation. Our assumption and the assumption of another member here was correct. Being a actual business the seller has no office staff on the week ends and when Monday morning rolled around they contacted us and my husband is the proud owner of a beautiful guitar. Thank you for all the members comments and have a great day!
