Seller removes listing!

Hello everyone.  Recently I was bidding on a vintage pair of round eyeglasses from a seller in United Kingdom, England I do believe.  The initial bid was very low and I was the only bidder.   The listing ended over the weekend and being so busy I completely forgot  about it until this morning.  I checked my purchase history and there were no glasses.  I checked to see if I had lost the bid to someone else and no glasses there either.  I have received a message from eBay that the listing was removed.  No explanation other than that.  How is a seller able to remove a listing when someone has bid on their item?  I can't help but think this was done because the seller was unhappy about the amount of the bid the glasses were going to go for.  If that's the case they should not have listing them a such a low starting bid.  It seems some sellers start their bidding low to attract buyers but in doing so take the chance that the item may go at a low price.  The seller should still honour the bid.  They should't  be able to remove a listing because of low bidding.  Shame, shame!!  I am definitely going to check to see if the item has been relisted at a higher price!  Thanks for your time and have a great day!

Seller removes listing!

The seller did not remove the listing.

Ebay removed it for some reason.

A seller can cancel a listing but you can still

see it.  When ebay removes it, it is gone from sight.
