Shipment of 10 kg Chlorella was denied entry to Canada. Supplier only refunded Half my money and leaves me with a US 330 hole.
What can I do ????

Was this an ebay purchase, where is the seller located and did the seller receive the order back? What was their reasoning for refunding just half of the money?
Depending on when the purchase was made you might be able to file an item not received claim. However, I don't know how they would rule in this case as I'm not sure who is considered responsible to know whether or not a product is allowed into Canada.

It looks like the seller is in Taiwan. I imagine it cost them quite a bit to ship something that heavy here.
Honestly...it may be best that you didn't receive those tablets. I would be very uncomfortable buying something that I was putting into my body from an ebay seller in Taiwan. You don't know if those pills are really what they say they are or not.

File a claim... You didn't receive the item.

It is the sellers responsibility to know if a product is allowed to certain countries or not. Also sellers in that part of the world tend to not declare the content of many shipments properly.
You should get 100% of your money back in this situation, just open a claim with eBay or paypal or your bank (if paid with credit card) and you should get all your money since the seller cannot prove that you received the item.
Most countries have very strict roles on what can enter their countries, and as an exporter, the seller has to know if their product is allowed into the countries they are shipping to.
Act fast to make sure you don't miss your chance of getting all your money.
Good luck

the seller has to know if their product is allowed into the countries they are shipping to.
While it is common sense that a seller should protect himself against returns, seizure or destruction of his product by Customs, it is the responsibility of the importer (buyer) to know whether the product can be imported.
just open a claim with... your bank (if paid with credit card)
If you back your Paypal account with a credit card, you go to the 1-800 number on the back of the card for a chargeback. Do this after trying the eBay/Paypal service first. They are usually pretty good, but the deadline is only 45 days. Cards have longer deadlines.

If the purchase was made after mid January you have 180 days to put in a claim with Paypal

I'm trying to remember that. Keep reminding me. Between the blonde moments and the senior moments, I tend to be a slow learner.
