Have you tried clearing your history and cache?

Recently there have been several posts from american eBayers who have found themselves on the Canadian site. Perhaps this is another eBay glitch. If you have a board on the US site that is read by eBay staff, or a weekly Board Hour, please post there so eBay is aware of the issue, or telephone and let them know this is not an isolated issue.

I am a Canadian buyer. I want to use the US site but it also keeps switching me to Canada. How is EBAY profiting from this?

"I want to use the US site"
Do you want to buy or sell?
Log on at www.ebay.com
When selling on .com you do not have a choice of currency nor can you use the Canada Post shipping calculator.
When you buy on .com you can only buy from sellers willing to ship to Canada.
"also keeps switching me to Canada."
What exactly do you mean by that? I use both eBay.ca and eBay.com to buy and sell and never get "switched" anywhere.

"How is EBAY profiting from this?"
???
The listings on eBay.ca are the same as eBay.com IF the seller ships to Canada. eBay gets the same fee regardless of the site where you buy. Maybe you should explain the problem in more details.
