Everybody wants to be everything these days. eBay wants to be Amazon and CanadaPost thinks they are PriceGrabber when they are actually MoneyGrabber.

Even stranger, when I click on a couple of book titles I am taken to a company called Book Scene (never heard of them before either) who are promoting shipping within Canada via Canada Post for a flat rate of $2.99.

Given that the average hardcover is around 2lbs I cannot see how they are doing this unless they are getting a very, very substantial discount from CP.

Sort of like a mafia mentality, all crown, government agency now wants a cut of the merchant's profit. Exclusivity in what they do is no longer enough to satisfy their insatiable monetary needs.
