Successful bidder for seller's item a short distance away. How to use paypal without incl shipping??

I am the successful bidder for a seller's item which is a short distance away. The seller is agreeable to pickup - it's convenient for both of us and saves me $25.00

The eBay invoice is seeking the bid amount PLUS shipping. I'm good to use paypal but do not want that $25 shipping included in what I confirm for paypal withdrawal. How do I or the seller get the shipping cost removed from the invoiced amount owing?

You pay cash when you pick up directly from the seller.

No need to involve paypal at all in this transaction.

It costs the seller 2.9% when you pay the invoice through paypal.

You save $25 by picking up, the seller saves 2.9% when you pay cash (win-win for both).

The seller needs to change the invoice. There is a drop down menu for him/her where they can select local pick up. Personnaly we accept local pickups but require payment through Paypal. Lots of sellers operate that way. Much easier to process items when sellers have lots of inventory. Guess paying cash may be easier for sellers with very small inventory.
