My opinion is there is another way... They have come up new techonology for extracting oil making the oil sands not really needed for the US ... What I think they should have is it should be refined right where they are digging it and then they can do whatever with the oil afterwards..

This would stop the fear of the pipe line causing major disaster well keeping many people employed .... Bottom line There is a safe way to do things but as far as cutting down trees and digging up the earth and extracting the earth jewels it needs to me done and as much as it is not cool in my books it is needed ....

A Billion people can say no to projects like this but i bet only a couple 1000 would give up there cars and buy a bike to do there part..

My opinion is these big projects are needed and yes they do need to be efficient and enviromentally friendly but it is us as humans that drive these projects to be needed so instead of always pointing finger at the big guys people need to look at why these projects have to exist..
