The reality for Canada Post over the next two years.

Many might feel that the possibility  of a strike has ended....  Maybe so....   But... The news is otherwise when Canada Post's future is addressed

Here is a link to an article that should make us aware of the "New" reality

http://www.metronews.ca/news/canada/2016/08/31/peace-treaty-at-canada-post-only-delays-the-inevitabl...

We have a temporary fix.. if it can be called a fix.

The Union continues with its list of expectations.... ready to promote  what it wants...

The Review of Canada Post will be the major focus over the next series of months ......  and it should be a focus for eBay sellers as well.

Thank you for posting this.

We knew this was the case when it was announced it was only half-term instead of the full four years as is normally brokered. And obviously done simply to appease the guidance of the federal government which had taken an active interest in it.

So what does this mean?

The union members will still approve it, and sellers such as those on ebay as well as consumers across Canada will be required to brace ourselves to face this again in a mere two years.

We have two years of peace to go about our business. I'll take it. And gladly. Maybe in two years, the nature my business here will have shifted and grown so that I simply don't care what happens to CPC, or maybe not.

As a Canadian, I will still have strong feelings about the postal system and you can bet I am going to speak to that.

Grooooooan.

Well if all goes according to plan, I will have already won the lottery by then. I'll track progress on the ongoing CPC/CUPW negotiations. from my reclusive island home in the Caribbean.

I'd rather have sand between my toes than a snifter of booze up my nose.
