The seller of my item is in a different country than stated on their auction page.

I recently purchased an item that, on the auction page, is originally located in / shipping from Quebec, QC. However, upon receiving my tracking number, this item is being shipped from China.

... Obviously this raises questions for me. The item still hasn't arrived and was due for delivery days ago, and the seller was less than forthcoming in providing shipping details. Notwithstanding the fact that I'm having serious doubts about the quality of the item.

Is this a violation of eBay policies? If this was sold to me in bad faith, what are my options?

Your seller is in Canada,he's just using a dropshipper in China. This is allowed as long as the item location accurately describes the location that the item will be shipped from.Your seller is indeed in violation of eBay policies. The violation is known as item location misrepresentation and can be reported. Here is the policy on item location misrepresentation.

Item listing. / tracking number begins with "EE" and ends in "CN" - those types of tracking numbers are used by the Chinese Courier Service.

I will be reporting this seller.
