Unfair Late Delivery Strike

Giving sellers a strike for late delivery is one of the dumbest things eBay has ever done! 

 

So I sold a box of new cassette tapes to a new buyer in the US on Jan 25/2015.  Shipped out right away.  A month later buyer said he still didn't receive his items. Told him to check if his address is correct.  Turns out he gave me the wrong Zip Code.  He apologised as it was his mistake. 

 

The items were returned to me 2 months later. Informed the buyer & he paid me to resend items. He received them in a few days. Was thrilled & left positive feedback.  Told him not to answer the question about receiving items within estimated delivery time.  He didn't.  Now I find out I have a late delivery strike against me. Not from the buyer but from the Courier.  How crazy is that!

If you shipped the items out right away and they were scanned within your handling time you shouldn't receive a late mark. When you sent the items out again did you print a label through ebay or enter a new tracking number?

If so, that's the problem as the system sees the sale date and notices that the first scan date was not within your handling time.

 

If you phone ebay you might be able to get the late shipment taken off.

Ig you've got that about wrong address through ebay messages, phone customer service and you'll be able to have it removed.  Shouldnt be too painfull a call.

Keep an eye on your Sold Item delivery estimates. It seems like the count is wrong right now because there are actually two stats over Easter: Good Friday and Easter Monday. My Order Details 'delivered by' date estimates are wrong right now.

Thanks for the info. I did enter a new tracking number which could have screwed up their system.  Phoned Customer Service today & after a bit of a run around between different people, they said that they would remove the Late Delivery Strike against me. Can take a day or two to correct, so hopefully it works.
