Hi - I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good website where I can look up vintage car part numbers ( 1960's , 1970's ) . I have a lot of new factory parts with numbers on the parts or tags, and find that the majority of the numbers don't compute on the websites I've been looking at. I'm in Canada, so perhaps some of the numbers are different than the US counterparts, but still nothing shows up.
Tnks

If they are old part number, they may have been changed over the years. As a test, pick a part number and phone a friendly dealer to see if he can look it up on the computer to see if anything shows up.
Are there any car clubs in your area that nay have old parts books laying around?
You might also try an auto wrecker if there is one around.
Possibly the public library may have auto books availalble

Is there any information on the tags other than the part number?

Go to ebay and enter "parts manual" and the suspected make and model.
