What happened to "Buy It Now" button?

Why isn't the Buy It Now button displayed anymore?

In most categories the "Buy it Now" option goes away when the first bid is received.

In a few categories it goes away after bidding reaches 50% of the buy it now price.

And of course, many sellers do not use the Buy It Now button (or Best Offer) preferring to have a "pure" auction.

If you want to buy immediately, choose to Search only for Fixed Price listings. They are all Buy It Now.

Some one bid and the BIN option went away.

They canceled the bid and the BIN came back.

Some one then bought it.
