From what I have read for a similar question's answer, there seems to be a weird bug that if you sign in while having viewed an auction page sourced from another country, you get signed in to that country's version of ebay instead of your own. I am at the Canadian ebay.ca right now -- check your browser address bar to see if it has that (or perhaps ebay.co.uk or whatever) instead of ebay.com. You'll have to go to ebay.com and sign in there restore what you normally see.

You are not in the British site.
That's the flag of Canada. Two red bars and a red maple leaf on a white field.
This is Canada.
We speak English and French here*.
Just go to the URL and change the ebay.CA to ebay.COM.
*Although in our Northwest Territory, to accomodate elected members of the legislature, translators are provided for some 18 First Nations and Inuit languages. Megwich!
