I recently sold a watch on Ebay and the buyer received the item, left me positive feedback and the 4 days later files a "not as described" claim. The buyer states the watch runs for a couple of days then stops. I tried to explain that the watch is mechanical and needs to be wound up. Then the buyer states the watch does not run at all, Buyer demanded refund, I offered a partial refund which the buyer refused, basically 50% off. The buyer stated he would escalate if I did not offer full refund, which because it was a lower amount I gave in. Buyer received refund and I thought that would end it. However the buyer took issue with the feedback I left him in which I stated my concerns. Since then the buyer has sent me 5 emails stating he would ruin my rep, warning me "what goes around comes around". I have reported all the emails to Ebay but as of today still am receiving emails from the buyer. I have blocked him. Can anyone tell me what else I can do???

BUT THEN SOMETIMES WE HAVE THE FOLLOWING --- WE ARE SELLING ON EBAY,,,, AND LIKE EVERYONE THAT SELLS ON THE INTERNET, WE DO NOT HAVE VISUAL CONTACT WITH THE BUYER. WE MUST THEN CONVEY OUR THOUGHT THROUGH WORDS...THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO SAY THE SAME THING.... AND IT ALL STARTS WITH WHAT WE PUT IN A LISTING..NEGATIVITY IN A LISTING IS ASKING FOR TROUBLE... LARGE LETTERS IN RED IS A BIG FLAG....CAPITAL LETTERS ADD TO THE YELLING...THE WORSE THING ONE CAN SAY IS... EBAY TOLD ME TO DO IT. THERE ARE THE BASICS OF SELLING ON EBAY AND THAT IS WHAT WE SHOULD ALL DO. MANY SELLERS HAVE A MINIMUM FOR A DESCRIPTION.... AND THEN 50 PLUS LINES FOR A TERMS OF SALE.... IT SHOULD BE THE REVERSE. PUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IN A LISTING....**BLEEP**ING, PLEADING ARGUING JUST DOES NOT WORK....THE KEY TO A DESCRIPTION... (1) THE MORE THE BETTER AND ALL IN RELATION TO WHAT IS BEING SOLD (2) NO CAPITALS EXCEPT WHERE APPROPRIATE FOR A SENTENCE. (3) SHORT PARAGRAPHS.... (4) MINIMUM ON TERMS OF SALE....

Many other things that make it difficult for someone to read the description.....
(1) Very large print.
(2) The wrong color of print
(2) Large print... bold... in red.... and sounding very aggressive.... and ...do not forget the exclamation marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????
The listing should create "pleasure within the person reading it
There is something else that used to be seen..... Print against a colored background.....
The background color can express anger... red.
or ambivalence... light blue.
Sometimes the combinations of print color and background make the print disappear... very difficult to read.... and perhaps subliminal suggestions....
Yellow print against a yellow background.
or light blue print against a light blue background...
One would wonder if colored print, or colored print against a colored background is difficult to read on a mobile device.
Even yellow print against a white background is a difficult read.
Different colors elicit specific responses in someone looking at something

Oh yeah, well, "I can do whatever I want and to heck with you (spit in the eye)"? Isn't that exactly what eBay is trying to rid itself of?
Every seller is a buyer, somewhere. Dear seller: How do you want to be treated? Do you wish to be mocked, laughed at, yelled at, demeaned, called names, told to learn to read, etc? No? Why not?
In 9200 sales I have had two (2) certifiable wing-nuts. How come so many sellers have far more than I do? Do they have their "attract a wing-nut" magnet on? If so, take it off.
Their anger and violent disposition became so egregious as to be comical. "Have your lawyer call mine!!!!!!"! Um? This is about $50.
Yellers? I have had many. They have been taught by society to scream the loudest. I reply in a friendly and pleasant manner and they calm right down. Next thing ya know, I have a new best friend.
there are a lot of ways to do a lot of things. I "think" that what Cumos is alluding too, is that many seemingly innocent forays can be misinterpreted and away we go!!!!!!.
There are a lot of ways to do things wrong and a few simple ways to do them right. Why is it that the right way is so hard for some people?
I have an expression that I like to "think" I am responsible for: "There are two ways to do something. The right way and why didn't you do it the right way?".
That choice is purely, 100%, within the realm of the seller-lister.
If you have chosen to do something wrong, it had better be with with the proviso of: "Hold my beer and watch this!!!!!!".
To come back, later, complaining that a bad decision went bad? Well? Hello? Who made that choice?

Everything starts with the seller.
Stand in front of the mirror and ask yourself...
Who am I?
How do I deal with people on a day-to-day basis?
How will I deal with People I cannot see?
Be very honest....
Some people are not suited to selling on eBay or elsewhere on the internet....
Some people can make an adjustment.
And then there are those that should not be a seller anywhere on this world of ours....
