I sold a Nylon Backpack to a buyer on buy it now , shipped the product accordingly as per described in the listing and even had the manufacturer product number in the listing so they could go to their website and see the product description further ....now i get an email in my personal email from the buyer stating i sent the wrong product and my description stated leather ....which is a blunt lie ..no where on my listing does it state leather or even on the manufactures product description does it state leather .....buyer is lying and expects a full refund and me to eat the shipping charges etc and pay for shipping for the item to be returned to me ...

He is clearly lying in his email ... and I think he is going to put an item not described claim against me ..... dont know what to do ....as why should i eat the costs ...the listing is clear so clear ....it states nylon backpack and so does the manufacturer listing and the picture is not of a leather backpack either , it is nylon ..

You calmly tell him that he should return the item for a full refund.

When it arrives (probably with Delivery Confirmation) you refund his original payment.

Then you relist the item.

And kick the cat. I keep a stuffed cat in my office for just this sort of situation.

If you get all pi$$y with him, you will get a Paypal dispute, be forced to refund, recieve negative feedback and trashed Detailed Seller Ratings, all of which will make it harder to list and sell on eBay in future.

You can't leave negative feedback. You can leave a Response to feedback, yours or his. The most effective Responses are calm and factual, but they are not required to be positive.
