Where did he get his people skills???

OK, so JD is new to this role and he has certainly been thrown into the deep end of the pool but, as much as I want to cut him some slack, the guy has some serious people skills issues.

Have a listen to the following interview:

I can appreciate he has been beat up badly the last few days but he gets a little arrogant and testy of a respected AuctionBytes interviewer. If you can stand it, read some of the comments that have been submitted below on the page that opens. Yikes!

ummm...lorrie, please do actually answer the question about the leather jacket. one of my pet peeves about the powers at ebay is when you ask them a direct question, they never really 'answer' it, they will verbally answer with all sorts of other words, but they never really answer. the interviewer specifically explained that the seller HAD in fact accurately described the length of the coat, yet lorrie's answer is 'well, we're trying to get the seller to be more accurate'...oh okay, thanks for nothing...

...if ebay took a different approach to this and actually created a content place for sellers to sell, the overall morale of sellers will certainly increase, thus giving better customer service and a more positive buying experience for buyers...with sellers now being jammed up against a corner with little defences left, what kind of customer service will they be able to offer??

...sorry, i think ebay may be shooting themselves in the foot and are NOT taking into consideration up and coming competition, i think the days of ebay being the be-all and end-all of online trading sites will soon come to an end...

...just as ebay feels that sellers are replaceable... ebay is also replaceable...i'm beginning to think that this is the beginning of the end for ebay...:-(

No, the beginning of the end for ebay came last year when they decided not to adapt to the changing marketplace and support their stores platform.

I thought the beginning of the end was when they started requiring people to actually have a transaction in order to leave feedback for another member.....
