Customs services and international tracking provided
First avoid any listing that has these words when you Search. This indicates that the seller is using the Global Shipping Program and that you will be charged on purchase Canadian duty and sales tax + a $5 or so service fee by PitneyBowes who run the service for US eBay sellers.
And it is for the benefit of the US sellers. Not for buyers.
And those sellers don't see a penny of that fee. As mentioned, it goes to Canadian governments and to PB.
The flagged statement doesn't show on mobile devices. So always check your deal before ordering on a laptop or desktop computer. You'll also see a more complete description that way.
When I went to find those words in Search., by the way, I found two DVDs same title, same edition. (Grave of the Fireflies). One was listed with the GSP. Total cost $136.66CDN
One was listed without the GSP. Total cost $147.17CDN
So when used correctly, which is on items with a value of $50 US or more, the GSP can be cheaper. But for a $3.50 spark plug? Canadian Tire still gives trade dollars on your cash purchases and there is not waiting for delivery.
