I am new to ebay , a buyer  filed a case against an item that didn't receive.  I sent it through regular mail with no confirmation number, I just took a picture of the parcel. However, buyer instructed me to sent to a USA address, but I notice they based in China.  How do they know if they based in China about something sent to USA.  What can I do to resolve this case. many thanks.

I'm afraid that if you do not have delivery confirmation showing that the item was successfully delivered to the buyer's mailing address,you will lose an item not received dispute. The only thing to do is refund your buyer and politely request that he return the refund when the item finally arrives. Surprisingly,some buyers will do it. Do you have postal insurance? If so,contact the post office and initiate a postal insurance claim. They will give you a date on which you can officially open the claim. Call back on that date to open the claim.This can take some time to resolve but you will get your money back.

Thank you for your answer.  I didn't purchase insurance either, Canada Post charges a lot for that.  Buyer already open 2 cases with 1 package not received ,since I combined 2 items in a package which was claim not received.  Just wonder if I refund items, can I ask buyer to cancel the case, or does it remain in my record?   I don't want the 2 cases to lower my seller's rating.  many thanks.

The case is automatically closed on your issuance of the refund.
