You can sell any books or magazines on eBay CANADA, with one exception. Certain Adult (pornographic) magazines newer than a certain date are not allowed in Books and Magazines, but must be listed in the Mature category.

Shipping cost is a different question.

On eBaydotCOM where sellers are using the cheap Media Mail service offered by USPS, magazines which include advertisements cannot use that service. That's the policy anyway.

Because of USPS Media Mail, items that can be shipped with that cheap service (books, CDs, DVDs)have a cap of $4.00 including insurance for S&H for Flat Rate shipping.

Except.

The US-based shipper can choose a different Calculated Shipping service and charge the actual cost of postage and packaging.

However.

Canadians are usually* shipping from Canada using Canada Post. We can't use Calculated shipping on eBaydotCOM because it only supports USPS services.

So.

If you list on eBaydotCOM from Canada using Canada Post, you have to use Flat Rate shipping and will not be able to charge over $4.00.

Which brings us to eBaydotCA.

eBayCANADA does support Canada Post. Canada Post does not have Media Mail or anything like it. Canadian sellers listing on eBaydotCA can use either Flat Rate or Calculated Shipping.

Which means that if you list on eBayCANADA, you can charge the actual cost of shipping. If you list in US dollars and make your product available to the USA, American customers can find it.

Now. what would you like to know about why Free Shipping is a Good Thing?
