bad feedback

Hello, does anyone know what I can do If a customer posts bad feedback, then after he states that it was ebay initiated feedback and that he actually received what he paid for? he is unhappy with the product but I offered him his money back so I can get a better feedback score.

any help would be great

You can send a feedback revision request to the buyer asking him to revise his feedback to positive or neutral, once you have refunded him.

Go with the feedback revision request first.

However, you are also allowed to leave a REPLY to feedback. While the most effective Replies are calm factual and professional, they are not required to be postive. Use them carefully, your future buyers will read them.

I am not sure I asked him and this was his response "

Ebay sent me an email survey asking me as an ebay user to comment on my purshase from you and whether or not I was satisfied with everything and I simply responded to their request. I appreciate your refund offer but have been wearing the watch so decline your offer. I'm sorry my feedback affected you negatively but I was indeed disappointed in the color/appearance."

I think ebay should allow at least one communication with the seller BEFORE they are allowed to leave bad feedback that way at least you have a chance to make things rite, if I purchased something at Sears and I simply don`t like it , then I post an ad in the paper that everyone can read, im sure Sears would be pretty upset as this ruins there reputation, but here we just have to take it, seems really really unfair, I offered the customer his money back to no avail.

Yes I did leave a feedback comment which states PLEASE CONTACT ME SO I CAN CORRECT THIS I LIKE HAPPY CUSTOMERS.

I know that eBay sends a customer satisfaction survey to all buyers who leave negative or neutral feedback, so I think your buyer is fibbing about the FB being 'initiated by eBay'.

It is very unfortunate that a seller who is trying to make things right is given no opportunity to do so, and that good sellers are being tarred with the same brush as bad sellers - how is a future buyer to distinguish good from bad if eBay allows this sort of thing to stand?
The entire FB system has become nonsense.

ebay feedback is totally unfair, especially the rating system.

my 20% discount were lowered to 5% just because three people (one too many) gave me a low score on shipping time, which i have absolutely no control. I shipped out my item same date or next business date, the rest is up to the unionized, monopoly post.

Get user contact information and call him!

For what it's worth...Based on your entire feeback scores and the slick way you responed to the negative, I would not hesitate to purchase from you,if I was in the market for one of your items.I understand your frustration.
