becoming a power seller

If I'm understanding correctly, to become a (bronze?) power seller, I need at least 100 global transactions with at least $1000 dollars in sales for the past 12 months. I meet these requirements yet I am not a powerseller, am I understanding this incorrectly?

Re: becoming a power seller

I remember when it was $3,000 a month back in 1999 when I became a PowerSeller and it really meant something to be a PowerSeller.

Powerseller status is checked by eBay once a month.  It's the numbers on that date that count.

And it's not just transactions and sales values, there are other criteria.

Re: becoming a power seller

Re: becoming a power seller

No, you do not need to change anything.

Registration with eBay.com (legacy users) is not relevant to PowerSeller requirements.

Re: becoming a power seller

then the ebay representative told me inaccurate information

I do meet all the global powerseller requirements. the requirements for the number of transactions for top seller is also CHECKED in my dashboard. I also have way more than 1000 dollars in sales for the past 12 months, yet the powerseller requirement is NOT checked in my dashboard, I'm really confused as to why

Re: becoming a power seller

What are the requirements?

To qualify for the PowerSeller program, sellers need to consistently sell a significant volume of items, provide a high level of service to their buyers, maintain a positive Feedback score, and meet the requirements for detailed seller ratings and eBay Purchase Protection and PayPal Purchase Protection case standards. Membership in the program is free.

You don't need to apply for the PowerSeller program. If you qualify, you'll automatically be included. Just check your Seller Dashboard to see if you've achieved PowerSeller status. PowerSeller levels include Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Titanium depending on the number of items you've sold or the dollar amount of your sales.

If you're not a PowerSeller yet, you can always work your way up by meeting these requirements:

  • Be registered with eBay for at least 90 days.

  • Have an account in good standing.

  • Maintain a positive Feedback of 98% or higher over the past 12 months.

  • Follow all eBay policies.

  • Have a minimum of 100 transactions and $1,000 (effective June 1, 2012) in sales with Global buyers over the past 12 months.

  • Receive at least a 4.60 average from Global buyers across all 4 detailed seller ratings (DSRs).

  • For all transactions with Global buyers, have no more than 1.20% of transactions with low DSRs (1s or 2s) on item as described, and a maximum of 2.40% of low DSRs on communication, shipping time, and shipping and handling cost.

If your account falls below these requirements, you may lose your PowerSeller status.

Re: becoming a power seller

So, if any of these requirements was achieved at some point this month (October), your eligibility to the PowerSeller program becomes effective sometime next month (November).  eBay will let you know.

Re: becoming a power seller

While the Seller Dashboard is updated on the 20th on the month, the PS program runs monthly.
