Your buyer may be completely inexperienced in buying on eBay and didn't even bother to read the listing but whatever the reason, the buyer is responsible for his mistake, not you. You can proceed in one of two ways here. You can cut the buyer some slack and order him a mutual cancelation request? Don't proceed unless the buyer as indicated ahead of time that he will accept. You also have the option of opening an unpaid item dispute if the buyer won't pay the total price, including the shipping cost. If the buyer won't pay,you can open the dispute as soon as 4 days after the listing ended. If the buyer hasn't paid you can close the dispute as soon as 4 days after you open it. This gives the buyer an unpaid item dispute,a credit of your final value fees and the buyer can't leave feedback. How you proceed is up to you.

Unless the buyer stated including shipping in their best offer, can't imagine why shipping would be an issue unless buyer is outside Canada.

If your sold listing is like your current ladies suit listing, you did give the shipping cost and the buyer is wrong.

Remember that buyers can ONLY get positive feedback. She may have a dozen sellers who left no feedback because the transaction was poisonous.

Or she could be ordering from a mobile device, and the full listing did not show.

BUT

If she seems polite and embarrassed now that she reviews the listing, offer the Mutual Cancellation. Keep in mind that this allows her to leave feedback, so only use it if she is being nice. Check her Feedback Left For Others.

If you have any doubts, go for the Unpaid Item Dispute. She gets a Strike, you get your fees, and she cannot leave feedback.

Unwanted Advice- put sizes into your titles. People search on size but not on "lawn party"

Hello '16012010', 😄

When I check your original listing, it looks fine, and the shipping charge is unmistakable.  You have zero feedback, - and there is no shortage of people who will take advantage of that and try to rob you four ways from Sunday.  I'm not saying your buyer is doing that, - but as you say, she is experienced enough on ebay to know about shipping fees.

I can only think of 2 reasons why someone would say such a thing, - to press you to giving her a discount or to avoid having to continue with the sale.  Have you asked her if she would like to cancel?

The advantage to a cancellation is that the minute she agrees, you can relist and you get your fees back.  She can, however, leave feedback.  So can you.  It is also possible she could decline the cancellation, at which point you would not get your fees back.

The advantage to filing an Unpaid Item dispute is that whilst she gets a strike, you get your fees back and no one leaves feedback.  The disadvantages are that your item is tied up for 8 days, and if she decides to pay to avoid a strike, you will most certainly end up with a negative, - and that would be the death toll for a new seller.

So I'd say communicate sweetly with the buyer to decide how to proceed.  Should you need it, here is the ebay 'how to' about Unpaid Items:
