can i ask a seller to refund money and cancel transaction after making payment?

so I have been telling this seller again and again to ship my items promptly as i am leaving country and wont get the items if they are not shipped soon, its been 5 days since i have paid for the item. Now i am just tired of the whole thing and want to cancel the transaction, can i do that and ask them to refund my money?

I dont want to lose out on a lot of money because of someone else's careless attitude.

Once you make a bid you are committed to that purchase. Especially after 5 days and chances are the seller has already shipped out for you. If you paid extra to have the seller ship faster then all you can do is keep your fingers crossed you get it in time. If you don't and have to leave before it arrives then I suggest you get a neighbor to keep an eye out for it while you are away or get the post office to hold your mail until you can pick it up :). You bid on the item so it is not the sellers fault if you didn't allow enough time for shipping. Next time ask about faster shipping before you commit to buying something. Best of luck 🙂
